Today I must take a moment to talk about the very real
importance of purchasing shoes that fit. I know, it may sound silly, but ladies
you know what I’m saying. Sometimes we make rash decisions and buy a size too
large because it’s on a crazy good sale (yes, I’m a culprit of this). And then
it’s just frustrating because you now have these amazing, adorable shoes that
you want to wear everywhere and didn’t have to spend a fortune on, but they
have turned out to be super uncomfortable to walk in. Like, I even had to take
my shoes off at one point when walking outside. I know, yuck.
So, to avoid this hassle of buying and returning, we must
take pride in ourselves (and out of our wallets, sadly) and sometimes pay a
little more for those captivating pumps that actually fit and are of good
quality, meaning they’ll last you longer than a couple months like the other
“super sale” purchases.
Sometimes we all must be reminded that we are Cinderella at
the ball, not just the servant stuck at home. This is the one chance that you
can go out and have the time of your life. Now, would you rather do so with a
crampy, blistery heel, or twirl all night long feeling magical?
This certainly doesn't undermine the fact that yes, we must be servants and do our best to be there for others and lend a helping
hand. But that also doesn't take away from your worth or mean that you can't have your own time to shine. Every princess gets a night off occasionally, to be even more, to be
extraordinary.
You are important. You are worthy. You are more.
You are Cinderella.
So let’s start treating ourselves like it.
