showing up again…

it’s been two years and i’m not even sure how to catch up on here. and it’s been a year since i wrote out this post but wasn’t quite ready to publish again.

this is something i've neglected for so long when i thought i'd always keep it up. as life went on i thought i needed the perfect post to come back with. but that hasn't happened, so why not just start from scratch?

what’s that thing you’ve let go for so long that now you feel like you just can’t catch up?

join me in starting over with it. you don’t have to catch back up to where you left off. just start now. start somewhere. and keep going with it, until the race is done.

i’ve been in a waiting season, which we’ll talk about more later on. but it’s a season that can sometimes feel hard to show up in. you’re not sure what’s next. it feels like what you’re doing isn’t getting you anywhere. it’s like time taken up in a waste of space.

but don’t let it go to waste. purpose can be brought through this season of preparation. life can become full again. what you’re doing will soon mean something.

so keep going. if you’re in the waiting season, run this race with me. God has more up ahead than we can even imagine. so why not start now and keep up until what’s being planted has made a harvest?

what do you need to start showing up in?

the past couple of years i found it hard to keep showing up. not when i want to just keep to myself. not when it’s easier to stay on the down low without anyone watching from the outside.

but i felt this nudge to start showing up again - even when i don’t feel like it. even if it’s hard. even when it's uncomfortable.

it’s important to show up in the things that matter. prioritize them and show up before it gets so far ahead of you that it slips away and you can’t catch up.

in day to day life i’ve been realigning what i need to be showing up for and trying to make time for it.

it’s setting aside a couple of hours at the beginning of the day for bible study and quiet time. planning a time in the evening to stop what i’m doing and get a workout in to get moving. working during the day while also making time to spend with people that matter.

while trying to show up for all of these things, there’s others i’ve put aside like writing on here. it’s an ebb and flow of life, but i’m meant to not hold back and to show up even here.

even when it feels like what i have to say or create isn’t enough, i know that for some it is.
so this is me showing up, again.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ...

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
