Valentine's Day is quickly approaching - as if we didn't all know from the overly decorated store fronts and cute couples everywhere we look. I thought I'd put together some things that guys might want to take notes on or ladies might suggest for their fellas. I'm not typically the most fond of this particular holiday and certainly not the most knowledgeable in this area. I mean, why take relationship advice from someone who's never actually been in a relationship. But, this is shopping advice, something I am good at, so I thought it's fair game!

The past couple of years I have been able to see joy and love in Valentine's Day despite the lack of a love life. Nowhere does it say that you need to be romantically involved in order to love and be loved by others. This is a day that I choose to extend neighborly love to those around me, whether it be through letters or delivering handmade cookies.

This list comprises of things that would make perfect gifts if you have someone in your life to gift. Some of the items I currently have and others I might just buy for myself.

    


                           These are the dreamiest pajamas, from the color to the comfort. I've
                           always wondered what it's like to own a nice pair of pj's like this.
                           Tip for the fellas: If you want to make your girl feel special, get her pj's that she  
                           will like. It doesn't matter if you think she'll look good in this. What matters is that
                           you valued what she likes over what you want.



                           The way to a girl's heart: food.
                           Enough said.



                           Flowers can never go out of style. They are classic for a reason. However, one very
                           important tip: make sure you know exactly what type of flowers your lady likes.
                           I can pretty much guarantee that every girl has a preference when it comes to these
                           floral delights. Some like roses, some like daffodils, others like carnations. There are
                           literally all different kinds to choose from. If you don't know what type your girl
                           likes, just ask her. Or choose the more difficult route: take her to Publix, make sure
                           to pass by the flower section, and note which one she points out.



                           This is becoming a huge trend among women. I have heard so many good things
                           about this that I am convinced to go out and try it asap. I've been told that this is
                           good for your face to use at night and can even be used as a setting spray. Guys
                           might not get this kind of girl stuff, but trust me when I say all of us ladies need to
                           give this a try.
    


                           Okay guys, hear me when I say pick the right one. Choosing a scent is like figuring
                           out who you're going to spend the rest of your life with. Once you find the right one,
                           you'll know. Now fellas, you'll probably be safer just asking your girl or looking at
                           her perfume stash. Please spare yourself the impending disappointment of the granny
                           perfume (we've all received it at some point in life) and make sure you know exactly
                           what you're looking for.



                           Almost every adult's favorite word is coffee. It's pretty much a morning lifesaver.
                           Get a cute coffee mug, and the person you give it to will think about you every time
                           they use it, associating you with happy coffee thoughts, might I add. All the more
                           reason that this gift is practically foolproof.



                           A face mask is the perfect gift to anyone: your significant other, friend, mom,
                           neighbor, yourself. Literally anyone can use it and obtain good skin results. Lush's
                           Rosy Cheeks face mask is my current favorite. It's not too pricey, especially
                           considering that it lasts for a while (as long as you don't fly through it). It is best to
                           only use a face mask at most once a week. Any more and your face might just fall
                           off. Well, actually maybe not, but it could cause opposite effects of what it's intended
                           to do and we don't want that. This mask not only smells amazing but it is light and
                           leaves your face feeling completely refreshed.



I hope this list helps in the search for the perfect gift to let your loved one know how much you care - or to remind your single self that you are a boss babe who don't need a man.
Either way, whether you have a significant other or not, you are valued and you are loved, if not by anyone but God himself.
We have hope and a greater love than any we receive on this earth.
Now, shouldn't that be what this day is really all about?
