What's your favorite place you have ever been to? For those who know me, that question is easy! 

Covington, Georgia holds some of my fondest memories and a new anticipation every time I visit. My first time there was almost ten years ago! So crazy to think about. On a post Christmas trip with my mom, sister, aunt, and cousin, we stopped by on our way back through Georgia to Florida. Now this was the most exciting detour yet - because at the time our favorite tv show ever, The Vampire Diaries, was being filmed and we found out where the on location set was! 

So we made our way there, spoke with the nicest small town people you could ever meet, who gave us a directory of the houses that were featured on the show - many of them recognizable by their incredible historical features. And as any tv show fan would, we (myself, sister, and cousin) geeked out just a little (okay, a lot), at the fact that we were standing and taking pictures where the actors had filmed scenes for the show. 

These days, my love for this small town runs deeper than a television show - but still exciting to think about, of course. I make sure we stop through on as many trips up to Georgia or further north as possible. And with each time visiting brings a new sense of joy, peace, and excitement. Seeing the famous clock tower, also featured in many movies, never gets old, and the town square is always so lively. I've dreamed about living in a small town like this for so long, but for now these visits will do.
